Card care saves lives (and values)
If you’re reading this because your Charizard now has a permanent curve that rivals a Pringle — this is your sign to get serious about card care.
Things to consider before you begin ripping into packs (checklist?)
- are your hands clean?
- have you got penny sleeves and top loaders ready for your pulls?
- have a playmat handy so you don’t need to worry about accidentally scuffing marks on your cards when you’ve opened them?
Penny Sleeve your card before you topload it – this prevents any friction that could damage the card surfaces as you put it in or take it out.
Penny Sleeves are designed to be the base line of card protection. They protect the surfaces, adding a top loader in the mix secures your card from any dings or bends. We have our own Penny Sleeves that we want to promote:
Top Loaders are your next line of defense and protection. We recommend Beckett toploaders – smooth and easy
But we have a huge range of these to cover all cards for collectors:

No magnetic one touches, these are prone to damaging your cards in travel as they can easily move within the case.
No raw dogging your alt arts into your bulk pile.
One day that alt art might be valuable and you’ll be kicking yourself for flicking it across the room into your 16th bulk pile.
Why we don’t use perfect fit sleeves – damage on entry and a huge risk getting them back out again.
Binders are a great way to safely travel with your collection. No, your ring binder from 2004 doesn’t count as “protection. That thing’s a museum of bent corners and binder ring scars.
We rate Palms Off over other products

SLAB CARE & STORAGE (graded cards)
Slabs are great! But they also need some TLC.
We recommend sleeving them to prevent the plastic case from getting dings and scuff marks.
